A Considered Guide to a Villa Holiday in Corfu
A villa holiday begins with a practical choice: what should an ordinary day feel like? Before comparing photographs, decide whether your group wants unhurried days at home, frequent outings or a mixture of both. That answer makes a property enquiry more useful than a long list of attractive addresses.
Corfu is part of Greece’s Ionian island group. For a first orientation, the Greek National Tourism Organisation’s Corfu guide is a useful starting point. Property selection then needs a closer view of your own plans, the specific location and what is actually included in a proposed stay.
Choose a base around your priorities
Write down three things your group expects to do most often. They might include time around a pool, meals together, visiting town or reaching a particular beach. Share those priorities when asking about a villa. A sea view does not establish beach access, and a destination label does not tell you how a particular journey will work.
Ask for the property’s location and a description of access, parking and the route to your chosen places. Check current journey arrangements rather than relying on a general island-wide travel-time estimate. If you plan to drive, confirm your arrangements with the relevant provider before you commit.
Compare the layout, not only the bedroom count
A group can fit the advertised capacity and still have different needs. Ask how bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged, whether sleeping spaces are in separate buildings and which areas are shared. Explain any practical access needs without assuming that every villa can meet them.
Outdoor photographs deserve the same attention. Confirm which terraces, dining areas and pool spaces belong to the property you are considering. If children are travelling, discuss your supervision needs and ask about the actual layout. A photograph alone cannot confirm a safety feature.
Separate essentials from optional support
Make two lists: what the property must include, and what you would like to arrange separately. Essential requirements could include a workable kitchen, laundry arrangements or a suitable place for everyone to eat. Optional requests might concern a transfer or a meal prepared for the group.
Astra Villas Collection describes concierge services on its website. Ask which services can be arranged for your particular dates and property, who supplies them, what they cost and how they are confirmed. An enquiry is not a reservation or a guarantee that every service is available.
Build an arrival plan before departure
Keep the accommodation confirmation, arrival contact and agreed check-in process together. Tell the booking contact about the group’s arrival arrangements and ask what to do if those plans change. Confirm the procedure for getting access, along with any agreed handover information.
A focused Corfu enquiry includes your dates or flexibility, party size, preferred daily rhythm, essential layout requirements and requests for additional support. Use the existing Corfu destination page to begin that conversation, then assess the actual proposal and its written terms. The aim is a stay chosen around your group, with the important details confirmed rather than assumed.
